Hardware and bottlenecks
GPU versus headset, quick releases, pedal force and USB power.
- GPU vs VR Headset BottleneckA headset page that only says “needs a strong GPU” hides the actual gap. This pairs the catalog score with a VRAM budget derived from pixels per eye and refresh, then says whether native refresh is short, tight, comfortable or spare.
- Wheelbase and Wheel Quick ReleaseThe bolt pattern is the part people skip until the wheel is on the bench. Pick the release on the base and the release on the wheel. The code says native, first-party adapter, third-party adapter, or do not mix.
- Pedal Load Cell Rig StiffnessA 90 kg load cell is a number on the pedal, not a number the uprights feel until you include how high the face sits. Force in newtons times that height is the moment the pedal deck has to hold.
- USB Hub Power for a Sim RigDirect-drive bases usually have their own power brick, so the USB side is the small devices: pedals, shifter, handbrake, button box and a stream deck. Those still trip an unpowered port when they share it.
